Celebrate 7 Years with us!
2011-12-02 01:07:02
We invite you to celebrate 7 wonderful years with us at Tewksbury Fine Wine with a classic bottle that will leave you only wanting MORE! We are featuring the 2008 Catena Alta Mendoza Malbec-- it presents a dark opaque violet color, with almost blackish hues. The nose offers freshly ground, ripe berry fruits with layers of violet flowers, cinnamon spice, and a touch of lavender. The mouth-feel is full and coating, with exceptional weight and concentration and a velvety texture. The mid-palate offers rich cassins and black currant fruit flavors interwoven with hints of chocolate, vanilla and black pepper. The lengthy finish shows wonderful minerality, with finely grained tannins and lively acidity. As the weather gets colder, we suggest cuddling up on the couch in front of the fire with a glass of this delicious malbec, and a bowl of hot chili. We adore this home-made recipe and we think you should try it!! http://www.momswhothink.com/easy-recipes/best-chili-recipe.html

White French Blend & Creamy Tortellini
2011-12-09 14:11:08
At Tewksbury Fine Wine, we only bring you the best, most eloquent, food and wine pairings. That's why we have chosen the 2010 Gassier 'Cercius' Costieres de Nimes to feature in our blog this week matching up with an irrestible tortellini dish guaranteed to fit everyone's liking. The wine is a Rhone White Blend from the southern edge of the Rhone Valley near the ancient city of Nimes, the legendary mistral winds of Provence -- "Cercius" in Latin -- sweep over the vineyards and out to the Mediterranean Sea. It is a blend of 70% Grenache Blanc and 30% Sauvignon Blanc. One of the best qualities about the wine is the PRICE! At only $15.99 a bottle, this is quite a steal. The wine has a rich, ripe almost honey-like nose with prominent mineral character-- perfect to balance out the lushness of creamy tortellini. Don't miss this pairing opportunity-- these are a perfect match! Recipe: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Creamy-Cheese-Tortellini-with-Asparagus-352311

Chimay Beer and a Homemade Pizza
2011-12-16 19:50:13
While we specialize in wine, we have an amazing selection of beer as well. This week, we are going casual and suggesting having a nice cold Chimay with a home-made pizza dish. This is simple and easy and great the whole family. We are advertising the Chimay Trio: We have Chimay's Cinq Cents (White label), Premiere (Red label) and Grande Reserve (Blue label). Pair any of the beers with the pizza, and make sure to throw on all of your favorite toppings. This is a perfect casual Friday night dinner with friends, family, or a loved one! Enjoy! New Years Eve Appetizer Pairing
2011-12-29 20:48:40
Whether you are attending a New Year's Eve party or hosting one yourself, we have the perfect (and tastiest) appetizer for you to serve for guests or share with friends. A red pepper hummus with toasted pita is a warm, savory dish to greet guests and does not require a ton of work to make. This appetizer would pair quite nicely with a new chardonnay we just brought into the store: the 2009 Selby Russian River Valley Chardonnay. It is a supple, ripe, elegant Chardonnay imbued with subtle notes of toasty oak. The wine is also an incredible price at only $25.99, a STEAL! Wash down the hummus with this crisp chardonnay to have the perfect light and savory combination to begin any New Years Eve meal.
