Evening Land Vineyards searches for the most surreal garden that can impeccably produce a collection of pinot noir and chardonnay that boasts personality of adventure and romance. To accomplish this, Evening Land has brought the legendary Burgundy grapes of France to the complex, diverse climate of America. From the Eola Hills in Oregon's Willamette Valley, to the true Sonoma Coast in the town of Occidental, California and ending on the western lip of Santa Barbara County's Santa Rita Hills, Evening Land organically farms over 120 acres of heritage vineyards that produce 13 Estate wines imbued with this unique spirit of place.
Made from several villages in the famous Burgundy region, the Evening Land Bourgogne blanc is a great value. Renowned winemaker Dominique Lafon (Domaine des Comtes Lafon) is in charge of Evening Land’s French operation. White flowers dominate the nose of this medium-bodied wine. Surprisingly complex for a basic Bourgogne, the wine is mineral and vibrant in mouth. Perfect as an aperitif or with lighter dishes. Although it has siblings in the U.S., this wine is distinctively French.
