Barr Hill Vodka
Our relationship with the land and honey bees inspired and gave birth to this vodka.  The soul of a beekeeper is filled with the rhythms that flow through the season, reflecting the changes in the flowers, rains, sun and all the forces that are a part of this beautiful mystery.  Barr Hill Vodka is crafted entirely from honey at our micro-distillery on the banks of the Lamoille River in Caledonia Country of the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.  Honey is cold fermented for several weeks then carefully distilled in our custom stills.  The spirit which emerges reflects the essence of the soil and flowers visited by the bees.

Recommended Cocktails: Barr Hill Vodka on the rocks with a lemon twist. Vesper Martini, Dry martini, Vodka Bee's Knees.

Barr Hill Gin
This gin is a celebration of our special connection to the land.  We use pure grain spirits as a canvas to showcase juniper berry and raw northern honey.  Added just before bottling, the raw honey imparts unique floral qualities that vary with season and blossom.  Our distillery, on the banks of the Lamoille River in the Northeast Kingdom, is rooted in the agriculture of Vermont.  Caledonia Country is a community inspired by farms where the production of milk, cheese, timber, grains, honey, seeds, and herbs are part of our lives and help define our place.

Recommended cocktails: Barr Hill Gin on the rocks with a lemon twist, Bee's Knees, Martinez, Barr Hill Gin and Tonic with a dash of orange bitters and a slice of lemon.

Elderberry Cordial

Handcrafted in small batches in our artisan distillery in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Our cordial is birthed and rooted in a long relationship with the land, honey and elderberries.

Recommended Cocktails: Kir Royale - dry prosecco and elderberry cordial, Elderberry and soda water, Elderberry with good wheat beer.

 Tasting Tonight!

Fall is here and we're excited!  From now until the new year, we will be opening BLOCKBUSTER, absolutely stunning wines every single weekend.  We can guarantee there will never be a dull day at Tewksbury Fine Wines!

2012 Tensley 'Colson Canyon Vineyard' Syrah - $44.99/38.24

94-96+ Points, Wine Advocate: "I wasn't able to taste through a full lineup of Tensley's 2012, but what I was about to taste was certainly impressive.  Overflowing with fruit and texture, the 2012 Syrah Colson Canyon has a stacked mid-palate, sweet tannin and a seamless, pure feel that I suspect will be hard to resist in its youth yet also age gracefully.  It should certainly compete with, if not surpass, the fantastic 2011.  In short, don't miss this wine. Drink 2014-2027."

2012 Bench Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir - $24.99/$21.24

Tremendous Pinot Noir fruit from the flawless and ideal 2012 growing season realizes this delightful Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Grapes were primarily harvested from the Sangiacomo Amaral Ranch Vineyard and were gently extracted during fermentation on native yeast. The wine was then aged for seven months in 30% new French oak before bottling. From the winery: "Bright ruby color, this wine offers intense floral and raspberry aromas. In the mouth the wine has a good intensity with darker earth flavors and bright raspberry fruit. Fine tannins add structure and balance to a long finish."

2012 Kofererhof Alto Adige Pinot Grigio - $29.99/$25.49

"Gunter Kerschbaumer is an unusually talented young man who makes some of Italy's best white wines. Unbelievably good Pinot Grigio, Sylvaner, Muller-Thurgau and Kerner arise from splendidly situated vineyards at close to 700 meters above sea level. These are wines that will put to rest any preconceived notions you may have on those grapes. His riesling is quickly becoming one of the best Italian examples of this variety as well." -- International Wine Cellar, Mar/April 2008

NV Clotilde Davenne Cremant de Bourgogne Brut Extra - $24.99/$21.24

91 Pts John Gilman - View from the Cellar
"Clotilde Davenne is a full-time winemaker at a well-known Chablis estate, but she moonlights on her small, 8.5 hectare Crémant de Bourgogne project in the Yonne. Her non-vintage Extra Brut is really very fine, offering up a very Champagne-like nose of green apple, pink grapefruit, warm bread and a touch of lime peel.  On the palate the wine is bright and bouncy, with a fine core of fruit, impressive complexity, and a long, crisp and soil-driven finish. This is truly outstanding sparkling wine and an absolute steal! 2012-2020."

Come taste these amazing wines with us tonight!

Cheese of the Week: Gruyére

Gruyere is one of the most famous Swiss cheeses.  It is made from cow's milk and has a nutty, sweet taste with complex musty and mushroomy notes.  Our wheels of Gruyere are aged by Rold Beeler, a master afffineur in Zurich.  Aging a minimum of sixteen months yields a firm pate with a granular texture.  This exceptional Gruyere is delicious when used in a fondue as well as on its own.  Pair this cheese with a Champagne, Syrah, or Zinfandel.

Come by and taste this cheese with us tonight!

Looking Forward to Seeing You This Weekend!
