2012 Clotilde Davenne Saint-Bris Sauvignon Blanc - $19.99/$16.99
The best Sauvignon Saint-Bris on the market from Clotilde Davenne, the rising star of the Chablis region. This is pure Sauvignon at its very best that shows those New Zealanders how good Sauvignon can be at a price well below anything they can make of approaching quality. This is a very good wine that has deservedly won all sorts of awards at a ridiculously low price!

2011 Domaine Petitot "Les Pimentiers" Savigny-Les-Beaune Vieille Vigne Bourgogne Rouge - $34.99/$29.74
Excellent value-driven Burgundy. The Petitots own 10 different parcels in 10 different AOCs. Grapes are hand picked and sorted from low-yielding vines and their cuvees tend to be equally expressive of soil and fruit. The Les Pimentiers has a distinct rooty quality to it (beets, parsnips, radish) and berried fruit, taking a very earthy turn on the palate with a long clean mineral finish. Like I said, excellent value, by Burgundy standards at least.

2011 Luca Uco Valley, Argentina Malbec - $34.99/$29.74
This is a great example of Mendoza Malbec. Incredible color—could use it in an inkwell! Loads of spice and black cherry cola aromas with notes of cocoa. The berry flavors really pop on the palate as the wine has both good depth and very lively acidity that leads to an incredibly long finish. A bottom note of freshly brewed espresso keeps the mouth watering too.
Pairs well with foods such as venison or wild game, steak, pork, quail, all types of lamb, and medium-strong cheeses. A very flexible wine due to its concentration and balance.
Don't worry, you're not going crazy. I know we said we were tasting this last week, but, we forgot! (Who doesn't every now and then). It's so good we really, really want you to try it!
