2010 Vogelzang 'Reserve' Santa Barbara Sauvignon Blanc - $34.99/$29.74

Brilliant winemaker Robbie Meyer (Peter Michael, Lewis Cellars, Pierson Meyer, and etc.) never fails to impress! The 2010 Sauvignon Blanc Reserve is another stunner from what we know and appreciate as a perfect vineyard for this varietal. Wine Spectator Magazine recommended Vogelzang 2010 Sauvignon Blanc Reserve as one of the very top rated Sauv Blancs in all of California with a 92 score and quote "intense yet graceful, showing lemon curd, dried mango, lavender and coconut water details, with toasty spice aromatics.

2011 Benito Ferrara 'Vigna Cicogna' Greco di Tufo
94 Points, International Wine Cellar! Pure aromas of quince, yellow apple, and mint are complicated by strong mineral, sage and rosemary nuances. Bright and fresh on the palate, with an almost fiano-like personality to its white stone fruit and delicate herbal flavors. The finish is pure, minerally and long. Along with the 2009, this strikes me as the best Vigna Cicogna of the last five or six years. Readers need to be aware that this is also routinely one of Italy's 20 best white wines: anyone who has never thought much of Italy's biancos might want to give it a try.

2012 Domaine du Vissoux Pierre-Marie Chermette 'Traditionnelle Vieilles Vignes' Beaujolais Villages - $19.99/$16.99

This wine is emblematic of the estate where, from 1986, we wanted to bring back the Beaujolais of yesteryear. This cuvée is crafted to pure Beaujolais tradition. The lively, intense fruitiness is very close to the grape itself. Concentration and freshness in the mouth make this a Beaujolais with character. Pair with Pumpkin and bacon risotto, delicatessen meats, pork, rabbit and poultry terrines, poultry mousse, snails, hot Beaujolais sausage, grilled meats, pan-fried veal liver, shepherd’s pie, red and white meat, grilled rib of beef, meat in sauce, andouillette, rabbit, poultry, camembert, chocolate desserts.
