Wine Tasting Tonight:

2010 Highflyer Centerline Napa Valley Red Blend

$24.99 / $21.24

About the Wine

When we first tasted the 2010 Highflyer Centerline Napa Valley Red Blend, we were shocked at the incredible value.  This gorgeous Red Blend drinks like a wine at a much higher price point.  It is a joy to drink, and it offers a beautiful balance of flavors including black cherry, chocolate and spice.  The palate is rich and full, and the oak is very well integrated.  We can't rave enough about this wine.  Definitely make sure to take home a couple bottles, because there is a good chance that it will be gone VERY quickly!

About the Winery

In 2003, California native Craig Becker created High Flyer Wines.  He combined his two passions:  wine and aviation.  As a pilot, Craig was able to scout the location and topography of the vineyards from his airplane.  The goal of High Flyer Wines is to make pure, distinctive, charismatic wines from fruit grown in the most qualified vineyards.

2013 Bishop's Peak San Luis Obispo Pinot Noir

$24.99 / $21.24

About the Wine

The 2013 Bishop's Peak San Luis Obispo Pinot Noir is one of our go-to Pinot Noirs at this price point.  It is bursting with flavors of strawberry and raspberry and showcases a refreshing acidity.  Bishop's Peak is produced by Tally Vineyards, so you can be sure it is a definite winner.  This is an elegant Pinot Noir that you will absolutely ADORE!

About the Winery

Bishop's Peak Wines come from the well-respected and world-renowned Talley Vineyards.  The Tally family has been farming and making wine in Coastal San Luis Obispo County for three generations.  After farming specialty vegetables since 1948, founder Oliver Tally's son Don saw the potential to grow high quality chardonnay and pinot noir.  The first wines were produced in 1986, and the winery has produced fantastic wines every since.

2014 Chateau Saint Cosme Cotes du Rhone Blanc Marsanne Picpoul, Viognier, Claret

$24.99 / $21.24

About the Wine

This Cotes du Rhone Blanc from Chateau Saint Cosme is seriously a no-brainer.  It is an exquisite blend of Viognier, Picpoul, Roussanne, Marsanne and Clairette.  Luscious aromas of ripe pear and honeycomb come through on the nose, and notes of mango, papaya and apricot dance on the palate.  This lovely white wine is clean, refreshing and perfect for pairing with chicken or lamb dishes.  We are so excited for everyone to taste it tonight!

Critical Acclaim

Wine Spectator - "A broad, ripe style, with apricot, nectarine and tangerine flavors, liberally lined with toasted almond and warmed brioche notes.  The ample underlying zip keeps this honest, revealing a lingering hint of salted butter."

2013 Paul Jaboulet Aine Parallele 45 Cotes du Rhone Grenache Syrah

$14.99 / $12.74

About the Wine

A blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah, the 2013 Paul Jaboulet Aine Parallele 45 Cotes du Rhone Grenache Syrah really over-delivers.  At this price point, this delicious red wine is unbeatable.  Aromas of red fruits lead into an elegant palate with a spicy finish.  It is light, fruity and perfect for pairing with red meat or cheese.  No other wines PARALLEL this one...it is such a special wine!

About the Winery

The Paul Jaboulet Aine was established in 1834 and lies in the Rhone Valley of France.  The fertile land on a hillside combined with a family that was passionate about winemaking led to the creation of this domaine.  In 2006, the Frey family took over the winery.  They utilize cutting edge winemaking and take exceptional care of the vineyard to create their exceptional wines.

Cheese of the Week

Milton Creamery Prairie Breeze Cheddar

This scrumptious cheddar cheese is made in Milton, Iowa by the Musser family.  Pastured, hand-milked cow's milk from local Amish farms is used.  The cheese is a hybrid-style (an Alpine cheddar), that combines sweetness and nuttiness on the palate.  It is medium sharp and pairs perfectly with hoppy beers or a beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon.
