About the Winery: Founded in 2002, Hestan Vineyards is a family-owned estate on the eastern slopes of the Napa Valley. The carefully-tended 110 acres are blanketed with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. The team also operates a small Chardonnay vineyard planted at the mouth of the Napa River. Winemakers Jeff Gaffner and Thomas Rivers Brown translate these varietals into award-winning, limited-release wines for the Hestan, Meyer and Stephanie labels. These wines are opulent and hedonistic, a powerful example of the vineyards' depth and complexity. 

About the Wine: Boasting the prestige of Napa Valley’s Hestan Vineyards, Meyer is the winery’s critically-acclaimed second label representing the epitome of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon quality and value. The vineyard’s unique mix of soils, slopes, exposures, rootstocks, clones and varietals contribute to the spectrum of flavors and nuance found in each limited edition bottling of Meyer Cabernet Sauvignon. The lots for Meyer Cabernet Sauvignon are kept separate throughout winemaking to retain individual block and varietal characters. Small capacity fermentation tanks, carefully timed pump-overs and punch- downs, a mix of native and cultured yeasts, the finest French cooperage and extended aging result in a wine noted for its deep flavor and velvety tannins.
